A space for you

Ascent Space Counselling is a modern, virtual sanctuary for those navigating major life transitions, whether grief and loss, career change, identity shifts, or other profound challenges.

If you are feeling grief, anxiety or depression during these times, you are not alone. It is common to feel a deep sense of loss when someone you love dies, when a relationship ends, when a career ends, when identity shifts or when aging brings unexpected changes. These experiences often sit alongside worry, low mood, emotional heaviness, addictive or compulsive coping behaviours and a sense of being disconnected from yourself. There is nothing wrong with you for feeling this way. These feelings are human, and they deserve care and understanding.

My approach is relational, trauma informed and integrative. I draw on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, attachment based practice and polyvagal principles. Together we make sense of your emotional landscape, understand your nervous system and gently loosen the patterns that keep you feeling stuck. We explore what matters most to you and build the capacity to respond to life with clarity, steadiness and compassion. This includes exploring the role that addictive or habitual coping behaviours may play in helping you manage pain, stress or overwhelm, and finding kinder, more sustainable ways to support yourself.

I see you as the expert on your own life. My role is to walk alongside you as you reconnect with your inner wisdom and strength. Over time you develop practical skills in self regulation, emotional awareness and values based action. You begin to trust yourself again. You feel more grounded, more spacious and more connected to the person you are becoming, even in the midst of loss or uncertainty.

Begin your ascent today.
